(More) About the Author

Dear Readers,

In case you haven’t read my About the Author section of my website, let me introduce myself a little more in-depth. A lot has changed since I wrote that mini-bio.

Did you know I have seven children? I know what you’re thinking; that’s a lot. True, what you probably don’t know is that I had twins twice. All my children are adults now and are having children of their own. In total my husband Larry and I have nine grandchildren. My eldest daughter had three daughters of her own whom we love dearly. My second eldest has five beautiful children, three daughters and two sons. Her numbers are high because she had a set of triplets. Multiples officially run in our family now. My son and his sweet girlfriend blessed us with a grandson a year ago.

Recently, my youngest daughter informed us that she was pregnant just a few weeks ago. That will make ten grandchildren, for now. I say for now cause she might be pregnant with one, two or three babies; we won’t know until she has the results of her ultrasound. Just a thought; I’m guessing twins. (Don’t let her know that though, I don’t want her to think I’m jinxing her.)

Three of my children haven’t started having children yet. I don’t think there’ll be an end to the additions to our very large family. But that’s okay, we know how to love. I’m grateful for every single one of them. But now my bio is wrong and will forever be changing. I find that funny, and think I may need to update the mini-bio soon.

In keeping with the theme of my blog, that being, you never know what you’ll find here, I’m going to veer off in another direction that may seem random at first.

I received the proof copy of my first book. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s the first book printed once the manuscript has been approved. The purpose of the proof copy is so the book can be reviewed for any changes that need to be made before the final books are ordered. That is all done, and the books should be here this week. The reason I mention the book is because I held it in my hands. On the cover of the book was my name. I’ll say it again, my name was on the cover. Dream Realm holds a world of my creation. I’ve never said that before, that I created a world, but I did.

Once inside the book, there are characters with lives to lead and stories to tell. An escape from reality that people need. Like you, I have so many roles in life; wife, daughter, mother, friend, an artist and a published author. What I’m trying to say is that no matter which role you’re playing at any given time, we all need an escape from reality.

Instead of famous quotes that inspired me, I decided to write a poem to include in the front matter. It is my goal mine to include a poem in every book I write. I’m close to being done with my second book and would like to publish in a few months. By then I hope to have readers looking forward to my next blog, my next poem and most importantly, my next book.

With everything going on in the world right now, it’s quite literally, hard to get out there and introduce myself. For now, we all need to rely on the internet, and I’ll need to do more things to make myself known. I’ll work on that; I’ll do some research for the best ways to do just that. In the meantime, have a wonderful day and keep on reading.
